Klemen Podjed, Ph.D. (born in 1968) is one of the leading energy business consultants and researchers in Slovenia. He is the deputy director of both Electras Nova, and the Institute for Strengthening of Human Values.
Klemen Podjed (born in 1968) has obtained his Ph.D. degree in Economics, as well as his M.Sc. degree in Management and Organizational Sciences from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana. He graduated from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences at the University of Maribor, and finished the Upper Secondary School of Electrical Engineering.
In the period from 2002 to 2010 he was the director of ELECTRAS NOVA. One of the most responsible positions that Klemen Podjed held in his early career was the position of the director of ELEKTRO-SLOVENIJA's power trading subsidiary TRGEL. In 2001, he decided to turn a new page; he founded ELECTRAS d.o.o., and has soon gained the reputation as the leading Slovene strategic management consultant in the energy sector.
As a social entrepreneur he established People for Earth, an UK based organisation, where he was the Managing Director. The mission of People for Earth is to inspire and empower people from around the world to adopt an eco-friendly and a more fulfilling lifestyle.
Occasionally he is a tutor and lecturer at various schools (the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana, the Educational Centre of Power System of Slovenia (ICES), B&B etc) and the author of a number of articles, that have been published in several professional journals and newspapers.
In his free time, Klemen Podjed, is making an effort to ensure a better future for all as the deputy director of the Slovene Institute for Strengthening of Human Values. The Institute is a part of one of the largest volunteer-based organizations in the world, the Art of Living Foundation, and its sister organisation International Association for Human Values, a non-profit educational & humanitarian NGO.
Robert Šifrer (born in 1970) graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana, majoring in Power Systems.
His research and consulting responsibilities at ELECTRAS NOVA are to a large degree focused on the areas concerning the technical issues of power markets and power systems. He is particularly engaged in the issues regarding technologies and opportunities arising from, as well as the use of renewable energy sources. He is also actively involved in preparing techno-economic studies and analyses. He also teaches technical subjects at the TŠC vocational high school in Kranj.
He has been contractually cooperating with ELECTRAS NOVA, contributing his invaluable expertise to the financial/economic aspects of the conducted research and consulting, particularly through calculating economic viability, drawing up economic projections and the financial segment of a study, etc. Apart from that, Vojko Šiler is employed at ARETE d.o.o., a company based in Kranj, Slovenia, which he partly owns. The company specialises in providing financial and accounting services, particularly bookkeeping, financial and accounting consulting, and tax consulting.
He is also a lecturer at the B&B vocational college in Kranj, where he teaches subjects connected with economics, e.g. Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Finance.
Sabina Podjed (born in 1967) graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana in 1993, majoring in Sociological Analysis and Application.
After the graduation she had begun her professional life as a journalist for the foreign politics section of the newspaper Slovenec. After a year she took a position as an editor at Telstar (magazine for cable and satellite television), where she was in charge of designing the magazine, as well as arranging and editing its contents and maintaining connections with foreign broadcasting companies. From 1999 to 2001 she was entrusted with designing marketing-efficient websites and marketing as such at the internet company Kabi. Internet is her passion (as a hobby and in the business) since she has first connected online in the mid nineties.
Since 2001 she has been the owner and director of NOVA M&A, the company representing EISENMANN - the world's leading mechanical equipment producer and supplier of environmental protection equipment. NOVA M&A also operated in the field of books publishing. NOVA M&A merged with ELECTRAS in 2006.
In 2007 she took part in CSR training programme for small business advisers.
She is active as a volunteer for Slovene Institute for Strengthening of Human Values.
